French Guipure Lace is a type of bobbin lace that is made by using a needle and thread. It can be made on a pillow, called a pillow lace, or on a frame, called a lace frame. The last part of this process is to put it on your cushion (or table). Because it’s so intricate and fine, French Guipure Lace is considered the best type of lace because there are no imperfections in its design.

It takes several months to make one piece of French Guipure Lace because each stitch requires many hours to create. The word “guipure” means “lace” in French!
